Magazine is the third studio album by the hard rock band Heart. The album was certified platinum, but failed to meet the same level of sales as the band"s previous two albums.

Magazine was intended to be the follow-up to Heart"s 1976 album Dreamboat Annie. However, Heart left Mushroom Records and went over to Portrait to record Little Queen for their second album. Magazine was later released to fulfill contractual obligations. It was originally released in late 1977 to radio stations, but the album was immediately pulled from general release. It is under dispute as to whether Heart or Mushroom Records were the ones demanding that parts of the album be re-mixed and re-recorded, but the original release was clearly a sub-par effort. The original track listings are slightly different in terms of order and length compared to what was eventually re-released in 1978.

The 1974 debut album Bad Company was an international hit, with the group considered one of the 1970s" first super groups. Bad Company consisted of four seasoned musicians: two former members of Free, singer Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke; former Mott the Hoople guitarist Mick Ralphs; and King Crimson"s bassist Boz Burrell. The group was managed by Peter Grant who also managed Led Zeppelin at the time and would manage Bad Company until 1982. The album peaked at #1 on Billboard"s Pop Albums chart (North America) and included two singles that reached the top 20 charts, Can"t Get Enough at #9 in 1974 and Movin" On at #14 in early 1975. In 1975, Straight Shooter gave the group another #1 on Billboard"s Pop Albums chart. The album also spawned three hit singles, Good Lovin" Gone Bad at #30, the slower Feel Like Makin" Love at #10 and Shooting Star.

High Voltage is the first internationally-released album by Australian hard rock band AC/DC, released in May 1976. Eight of the album"s nine songs were written by Angus Young, Malcolm Young, and Bon Scott. Can I Sit Next to You Girl was written by Young & Young.

Originally released on Atlantic Records, this edition of High Voltage has proven popular, selling 3 million units in the United States alone. However, the album was panned by some critics upon its release, including a review by Rolling Stone magazine that called it in all-time low for the hard rock genre. It was re-released in 2003 as part of the AC/DC Remasters series.

The Byrds Greatest Hits is the fifth album, and first compilation, by the American rock and roll band, The Byrds, released 1967 on Columbia Records, catalogue item CL 2716 in mono, CS 9516 in stereo. It is the top-selling album in the Byrds catalogue, reaching #6 on the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart in 1967, certified a platinum-seller by the Recording Industry Association of America on November 21, 1986. In 2003, the album was ranked number 178 on Rolling Stone magazine"s list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.

A summary of the Byrds history during the stays of Gene Clark and David Crosby in the band, this compilation also serves as the survey of the group"s hit singles from 1965 to 1967 inclusive, the time when they were a force on the singles chart. Every A-side from this time period appears, with the exceptions of Set You Free This Time, Have You Seen Her Face, and Lady Friend, none of which cracked the Top 40. The set includes three favored album tracks, with the remaining eight singles tracks peaking at the following positions on the Billboard Hot 100: 5D (Fifth Dimension) #44; All I Really Want to Do #40; Mr. Spaceman #36; My Back Pages #30; So You Want to Be A Rock and Roll Star #29; Eight Miles High #14; Turn! Turn! Turn! #1; and Mr. Tambourine Man also #1. The last three records were among the most innovative and influential of the entire decade, at a time when singles, at least in rock and roll, were as important entities in their own right as albums, and generally more so. Turn! Turn! Turn! summed up sixties counter cultural values as much as Blowin" in the Wind, (I Can"t Get No) Satisfaction, or All You Need Is Love, while Mr. Tambourine Man and Eight Miles High helped to introduce the sub-genres of folk-rock and psychedelia respectively into the popular music of the day.

Greatest Hits was remixed and remastered at 20-bit resolution as part of the Columbia/Legacy Byrds series, reissued in an expanded form on March 30, 1999. The three bonus tracks included two of the remaining singles from this period, plus It Won"t Be Wrong. It was reissued again in the SACD format, with the same expanded track listing as on the 20-bit remaster, on January 30, 2001. All of the songs on this set appeared as well on the band"s first four albums proper.
